Everyone is familiar with the iconic poster shot used internationally for Rocky's publicity in 1976-77.  The primary version of this image features Sly Stallone and Talia Shire as they appeared in the footage of Rocky's original ending which found the couple walking hand in hand down a deserted hallway of the arena.

Click the photo at right to compare the primary version to this - an alternate image which varies only slightly from the original.  This secondary version was rarely seen by the public and it is believed that it may have only been used by the studio for garnering attention during Academy Award season.

Apparently it worked!
