Sylvester Stallone,
actor/singer brother Frank Stallone, and casting agents and
crew from Sly's upcoming "Rocky Balboa," hit up
South Philly's Victor Cafe (1303 Dickinson) for dinner and a
little location scouting Wednesday night, reports Dan Gross.
They've already looked at
Ralph's (760 S. 9th) for a restaurant scene, and are
considering using both Italian spots. If chosen, the Victor,
filled with opera memorabilia and home to nightly opera
singing, would have to close for a few weeks in late
January. Sly and Frank went for veal chops at the Victor,
where Sly was happy to sign autographs and chat with fellow
patrons.
Stallone also signed
autographs on his way out of the Irish Pub (2007 Walnut),
where he briefly stopped Wednesday night.
Earlier that afternoon, Sly
was overheard asking, "Yo, where's my car?" while
waiting at the valet station at the Rittenhouse.
Yesterday, after meeting
with Mayor Street, Stallone and four associates made their
way to Liberty Place, where they peeked around and took
video of the mall, then hit the Italian Market. |
