AM TOO OLD TO TAKE ROCKY'S PUNCHES," SAYS STALLONE

Hollywood
action hero Sylvester Stallone has revealed that
although he is dying to make Rocky VI, he isn't
sure that he can because when he awed the world with his
talent in the boxing ring as Rocky Balboa, he wasn't
just acting, instead he took all of Rocky's hits.
In fact once he got hit so badly during a boxing scene
in Rocky that he had to spend 11 days in an ICU.
The 58-year old actor said that not only did he get his
ribs and nose broken while shooting for Rocky II,
in one movie a Russian boxer hit him so hard that his
heart got swollen and he could not breathe, following
which he had to stay in an intensive care unit for 11
days.
"I thought Rocky and the Russian character would
hate each other so much that they'd attack each other
like insane amateurs. I said, 'OK, Dolph, I want you to
come annihilate me.' And he did. He hit me and hit me
and hit me, I had a hard time yelling 'cut' with my
mouthpiece clutched somewhere in the middle of my
throat," the New York Post quoted him as saying.
"Later that night my heart was pounding, and it
kept feeling heavier. Finally they took me to the
doctor. The next thing I know, I'm in intensive care for
11 days. One of the blows caused my heart to swell and
stop beating. I went, 'OK, this is a little much,' he
added.
