Printed in entertainment trade magazines such as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, these full-page advertisements featured Rocky II's cast and were intended to gather support to gain Academy Award nominations.

This particular 1979 ad promotes Burgess Meredith for Best Supporting Actor.  Unfortunately in this case, none of Rocky II's cast were Oscar nominated.
